Narrative essay
Q) You are making coffee in a mug when your friend comes in and tells you that your sister is sitting outside. You don't have any siblings. Continue the story.
“What in the world are you talking about?” I was perplexed, “I don’t have any siblings!”
I dropped the mug, which shattered instantly, and ran past my friend to look at a seventeen-year-old blonde girl, who sat on my couch, wearing filthy pants, an overused tee, and brown boots smothered with dirt. Freddy, my friend, winded, asked, “If she…not…sister…who is she?”
Knowing nothing at all, I kneeled and gently questioned the girl, “Hello, I’m Jake. Who are you?”
“I am Rachel,” she replied innocently.
“Where are your parents Rachel?”
“Seth, the wicked man, kidnapped them,” she trembled with fear and accentuated the word Seth as if there could only be one man as malevolent as him.
There was a moment of silence. Freddy, who was also my police partner, broke it and started babbling, “Seth, the leader of the biggest criminal rings… Wh-why?”
“He asked my parents for their construction site for illegal work, but my parents refused, so he abducted us. I managed to escape, but my parents are trapped. I read that you were renowned police officers; that’s why I came to you.”
“We can help you, but you have to help us too,” I said, “Can you tell us where his base is?”
She nodded silently. “It’s in a shed below ground level at Aurora tract.”
In no time, I had an immense squad assembled at Aurora tract with an arrest warrant for Seth. Freddy was barking orders, and I prepared the ballistics.
On my mark, the squad broke into the shed while Freddy and I personally took down Seth, who was trying to flee.
Rachel, reunited with her parents, returned to their home. Freddy and I received a medal of valor for our display of courage.
